Does this sound like you? Then we'd love to talk to you about becoming our newest Chamber Ambassador.
By definition, Ambassadors are volunteer representatives of the Chamber responsible for contacting members to encourage investment and engagement in the Chamber. But to Chamber staff, Ambassadors are so much more than that. Ambassadors help the Chamber carry out our mission each and every day. They act as the liaison between members and us. They are an extension of our voice, our 'boots on the ground', and help answer member questions, assisting them in gaining maximum value from their membership.
We are always on the lookout for new faces to join our excited and dedicated group.
Benefits to you
Requirements
When an individual signs up or is referred to us by another Chamber member to become an ambassador, we ask them to commit to a minimum of a two year term. Ambassadors meet monthly with Chamber staff, on the second Tuesday of the month at Tundra Lodge in Green Bay.
A main expectation for each Ambassador is for them to be engaged. Engagement affords each Ambassador the ability to stay plugged into the activities of the Chamber. Along with that, comes the responsibility of educating and engaging with inactive and new Chamber members. We ask current Ambassadors to reach out to those inactive and new members to educate them on the Chamber benefits and upcoming events, encouraging them to get the most of their membership.
Our Ambassador Program operates on a points system to help track Ambassador participation. For each event or task you attend or are assigned, a specific number of points are assigned and assessed each year in order to remain in the program.
Our current Ambassadors are passionate champions of the work done by the Chamber. A few of them share their opinions on the importance of Ambassadorship:
"The main reason I am an ambassador is because it allows me to celebrate the growth and entrepreneurial spirit of our region. I am lucky enough to attend events that show support for and thank local businesses, non-profits, and entrepreneurs for their investments in our community." — Kasha Huntowski, Neville Public Museum Foundation
"I love the community relationships that are built internally and externally. I get the pleasure of meeting so many individuals and businesses that strive to make the area better than it was. Being a valued resource in the community and connecting individuals and businesses to each other in an asset the Ambassador Program provides." — Tanner Thorne, Family Insurance Center LLC
"I love the opportunity to meet with business leaders in the community. Getting to learn more and assist with the growth and development of the city of Green Bay is always exciting. " — Scout Johnson, Green Bay Packers
