Business Recognition Luncheon Awards & Showcase
Judging Process
Nomination Phase - Nominations are open for three weeks. All nominees are given the opportunity to apply, and the process remains anonymous.
Application Phase - Nominees are notified of their nomination and invited to apply for the specific award. The application period lasts for two weeks.
De-Biasing Phase - All applications are reviewed, and identifying information is blacked out. Names and employers are always removed. Details about roles, committees, and organizations are edited only as necessary to ensure anonymity without compromising the integrity of the application.
Judging Phase - A new team of judges, including community members, award alumni, and sponsors, independently reviews and scores each application. Scores are averaged, and through deliberation, the team selects a winner for each award.
If not enough applications are received for any of the four award categories, the award for that category may not be presented that year.
