Green Bay, WI. (Dec. 8, 2022) - The Greater Green Bay Chamber is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric DeKorne to Vice President of Development. DeKorne previously held the position of Business Retention & Expansion Manager within the Economic Development department. In that role he met with over 160 companies annually to listen, learn, and support. He worked alongside business owners and executives to serve as a connector to resources and appropriate service providers at the local, state, or national level. He also performed competitive intelligence analysis and took the lead on other research projects. DeKorne has a strong commitment to business success and is actively engaged in the execution of the Greater Green Bay Economic Development Strategic Plan.
“I am thrilled and excited to step into this new role and oversee the Chamber’s development strategy,” said DeKorne. “During my time here at the Chamber, I have grown a deep appreciation for its mission, and I believe there is tremendous opportunity in front of us to continue providing meaningful support to businesses throughout Greater Green Bay.”
The Vice President of Development role is focused on return on investment for chamber members, stakeholders, and investors. DeKorne will lead the development work for the foundation to financially support the economic and talent initiatives. As a nonprofit, funding is vital to the Chamber’s ability to deliver on its mission of strengthening member businesses by enhancing economic and workforce development, resulting in an improved quality of life in our community and region.

DeKorne earned his bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI. He has a passion for business that was established early on in life, growing up in his family’s retail furniture business.
