Game on Green Bay Celebrates Independent Game Development

Green Bay, WI - (Oct. 26, 2023) - The inaugural Game On Green Bay independent gaming event is coming to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) on November 11 through the 14.  

A feature will be a 72-game development event followed by two showcases highlighting the creativity and innovation of independent game developers and enthusiasts.   

“As a passionate gamer and one of the driving forces behind Game On Green Bay, I'm thrilled to bring together gaming enthusiasts, developers, and creative minds in the Midwest region,” said Lamarr Banks, Startup Development Manager, Greater Green Bay Chamber. “This event isn't just about games; it's a catalyst for uniting the region's gaming talent, igniting creativity, and celebrating the remarkable journey of game development.” 

Game On Green Bay begins on Saturday, November 11 at Noon. The Game Jam Showcase and Indie Showcase will take place on Tuesday, November 14. Both days of events are being held on the NWTC campus.

The Game Jam Showcase challenges creators who participated in our 72-hour jam session to present their creations. This dynamic event is followed by the Indie Showcase, where developers will present their more polished games. The Gam Jam Showcase is in NWTC’s Digital Arts Atrium and The Indie Showcase follows behind in the Esports Zone. The judging panel for the Indie Showcase will include regional game designers and scholars. Register for the opportunity to engage, connect, and be inspired in the world of gaming.
